The GDC Project

The GDC Project was born out of loss — and built on hope.
After losing my sister Gabriella DiMare Cartagena to addiction, our family made a promise: her story would not end in tragedy, but in transformation. Her life and struggle became the spark that inspired us to create real change for others facing the same battle.

At The GDC Project — which stands for both Gabriella DiMare Cartagena and Greater Days Coming — our mission is to lead individuals and families toward long-term recovery through guidance, coaching, education, and community support. We believe recovery is not just about getting sober; it’s about rebuilding life with purpose, discipline, and connection.

What We Do

At The GDC Project We are driven entirely by compassion — and funded solely through the generosity of people like you. Our goal is to provide educational programming, coaching, recovery support, and community events designed to help individuals and families navigate substance use disorder (SUD), mental health challenges, and personal development.

Our programs include:

• Educational seminars and workshops for individuals and families affected by addiction
• Coaching and mentorship for individuals navigating their sobriety journey, focused on accountability, mindset, and life skills
• Coaching and mentorship for families who have a loved one suffering from SUD, guiding them through the complex and nuanced process of supporting recovery
• Community fitness and wellness events that promote healthy coping strategies and lifestyle development
• The GDC Podcast and digital content platform, providing accessible education and real-life recovery conversations
• Coaching courses offered through the SKOOL application, delivering online educational tools and structured support for individuals and families working to overcome SUD
• Fundraising events that support outreach, awareness, and program expansion

Through these initiatives, we aim to provide practical tools and resources that empower individuals to heal, grow, and create sustainable, long-term change.

Where The Funds Go

Funds raised by The GDC Project are directly reinvested into programming, education, and community outreach efforts that support individuals and families impacted by addiction and personal adversity.

Donations and sponsorships help fund:

• Educational seminars and recovery workshops
• Community outreach and awareness programs
• Production and distribution of educational digital content and podcasts
• Coaching and mentorship program development
• Community wellness events and recovery support initiatives
• Event operations that allow us to expand our reach and impact
• Staffing, with a strong emphasis on employing and empowering individuals who have successfully recovered through similar programs and experiences

Our goal is to responsibly steward every dollar raised to maximize our ability to educate, support, and serve families in need while expanding our long-term recovery and personal development resources.

Together, we can turn loss into legacy — and bring hope to those still fighting for their greater days ahead.
